Employment discrimination complaints can arise on their own as a single stand alone problem or as a facet of more complex problems in the context of the breakdown of the employment relationship.
An employee or prospective employee may feel that he/she has been discriminated against at the very beginning of the potential employment relationship. i.e. at the interview stage or indeed at any point throughout the course of his/her employment.
A complaint could arise of unequal treatment concerning pay, working conditions, harassment or sexual harassment, promotion prospects, or indeed dismissal.
There are nine grounds upon which, if discrimination can be established, it is automatically unlawful.
